Microsoft names new MD

Singapore - Microsoft Singapore MD Barney Lau will leave the company at the end of July and will be replaced by Jessica Tan Soon Neo, who will be promoted from GM of Customer, Partner and Employee Experience for APAC position.

Tan will now focus on developing and driving growth strategies for the Singapore business, as well as deepening relationships with Microsoft partners, customers and employees. She will also drive the company's ongoing corporate citizenship efforts.

"I enjoy what I do at Microsoft because I firmly believe that the technologies we are providing are capable of fuelling new opportunities and growth for Singapore's IT ecosystem and businesses, while enabling people to do their best work," Tan said.

Lau has led Microsoft Singapore's operations since August 2005.
