Thailand - Mobile operator TrueMove has joined the Conexus Mobile Alliance to soon offer mobile subscribers in Thailand a pay-per-day, flat-rate data roaming tariff plan.
"Thailand is a key travelling destination for Asian travellers and we are delighted to welcome one of Thailand's fastest growing operators to our alliance. TrueMove will be able to bring their own unique experience and perspective to help promote and expand the benefits of the Alliance throughout Asia Pacific," Chan Kin Hung, who is chairman of Conexus Mobile Alliance as well as head of StarHub's Advanced Multimedia Services, said.
Introduced in April 2008, Conexus Mobile Alliance offers the subscribers of its operators a pay-per-day, flat-rate data roaming tariff plan, ensuring cost savings, predictability and flexibility in managing their mobile phone bills when roaming overseas.
The seven-member operators and countries involved in the mobile data roaming tariff plan in Conexus include Taiwan's Far EasTone Telecommunications, Hong Kong's Hutchison Telecommunications, Indonesia's PT Indosat Tbk, South Korea's KT Freetel, Japan's NTT DOCOMO, Philippines' Smart Communications, and StarHub Singapore.
