Regional - M&C Saatchi has moved into Pakistan with the announcement of a new partnership with one of the country's fastest growing creative agency Pirana.
"Pirana is young, hungry and creative, with some great people, blue-chip clients and a fantastic track record. They have the M&C Saatchi entrepreneurial spirit, and share our commitment to 'Brutal Simplicity of Thought'," Chris Jaques, CEO for M&C Saatchi Asia, said.
The move into Pakistan is the latest part of Jaques' strategy to build the M&C Saatchi footprint around core geographies of the Indian Subcontinent and Greater China, and follows less than two weeks after he decided to
shut the company's advertising business in Singapore.
The partnership will begin with both companies working together to service M&C Saatchi's global relationship with RBS on-the-ground in Pakistan, although they have agreed to develop their relationship across a range of business opportunities, and are discussing a formalised partnership for the future.
Pirana was founded in May 2006. Its clients include ABN Amro, Apple, BMW, Pfizer and Total.
