Close but no Brandstorm cigar for Singapore
First prize was awarded to the team from the US and prevented Singapore from becoming a repeat winner of the competition which it has won twice (in 2003 and 2007) since participating in 2002. Second place went to the team from Cambridge University who were representing the UK.
The Pinnacle won the right to represent Singapore in this international marketing competition when it beat Singapore Management University's (SMU) Purple Egg at the National Finals in May.
"We are extremely proud that the Singapore team once again proved their creative mettle to clinch third placing amid very stiff competition. I am continuously impressed by the wealth of marketing bright sparks that the competition attracts and I look forward to recruiting more L'Oréal Brandstorm talents in Singapore as we have done with such great success in the past," Jean-Francois Couvé, MD for L'Oréal Singapore, said.
The L'Oreal Brandstorm Finals, now in its 16th year, featured a record 4,617 students from 469 universities from around the world at the 2008 International Finals.
