Singapore - MediaCorp steps up its green initiative through public participation in the Gaia Life Challenge, short-listing three participants to live in a Perspex environment for 24 hours, as part of the Saving Gaia campaign.
Running for the second time, in conjunction with World Environment Day, the Saving Gaia campaign was launched today (5 June) and will run across print, radio, news and TV.
The campaign takes on a different message this year, going from environmental awareness to encouraging public and personal responsibility for the environment; "upsizing" the initiatives launched last year to better impact the audience, said Gwendolyn Loh, manager of corporate communications at MediaCorp.
Familiar initiatives such as the greening of MediaCorp's TV channel logos and the Saving Gaia online pledge return, with new campaign efforts added to the mix such as the Gaia Life Challenge and Style: Living magazine's first green issue.
The Gaia Life Challenge will be held at Bugis Junction from 21 to 22 June. The winner will be crowned Singapore's most gaia-friendly person and will walk away with S$10,000.
