Regional - ESPN STAR Sports (ESS) has revamped its website which according to its SVP of ad sales, Charles Less, will help the company grow its relationship with sports fans across markets while improving client's chances of meeting their brand objectives.
ESS claims advertisers can use the site to now launch more customised and targeted campaigns, and can track feedback and monitor results in real time now.
Amongst the changes includes a different site layout. Espnstar.com has categorised its web pages by sport, and content is subject to regional sports preferences. SE Asia might see more football content while visitors from India see more cricket-related content, for example. Editorial columns, blogs and podcasts as well as real time updates, and an embedded video player are some of the new or, in some cases, revamped ways for users to get their content.
"It is an important initiative for us at it helps us in engaging our viewers beyond our broadcast channels and at the same time create more business opportunities for our partners," Manu Sawhney, MD for ESS, said.
