More money for those in advertising, marketing and sales
Singapore - Demand for talent with specialised skills, and broader salary ranges are prevalent in the marketing and advertising sectors, according to the 2008/2009 Singapore Salary Handbook by Kelly Services.
Marketing managers with four to five years of experience can expect a minimum salary of $4,200 to a maximum of $7,000, while advertising managers can expect a salary range of $3,500 to $5,200. Sales managers with three to seven years of experience can expect salaries ranging from $3,500 to $7,000.
The report stated that organisations are placing more emphasis on branding and meeting sales targets. With the upgrading of Orchard Road, upcoming integrated resorts, and the Singapore government's emphasis on raising service standards and promoting Singapore as a retail hub, an increase in demand for talent is expected for the sales, marketing, and advertising sectors.
Kelly Services Singapore Salary Handbook 2008/09 is a compilation of salaries and job titles for various positions across industries in Singapore. The salary ranges in the handbook are indicative of actual transactions between employers and employees and closely reflect local salary trends.
