Hong Kong - The addition of Beiersdorf and toy maker Mattel to its client list has helped drive a 46% boost in revenue for Aegis Media Asia Pacific in the first quarter of 2008.

The early months of 2008 saw Aegis' media buying unit Carat secure the mammoth Kraft business in China and Beiersdorf in Hong Kong and Indonesia.

Patrick Stahle, CEO Aegis Media APAC, said the APAC operation was achieving continuous growth and he could not see any sign of a slowing ad market.

"We cannot see any sign of declining advertising spend and our forecast for the region is still around 9% growth in ad spend," Stahle said.

Around the world media buying was the strong for the Aegis group, but its research business Synovate also recorded a 5% jump in organic growth.
