Asia Pacific - Omnicom Media Group (OMG) will rework its Australasian management structure with the Australian and New Zealand offices to report directly to Barry Cupples, Omnicom's Singapore- based chief executive.
Cupples (pictured) told Marketing that he did not see the need to have a sub-regional management in place at every market.
"This is not a restructuring of the operations but more of a brand-focus," he said.
Omnicom is expected to launch more agency brands in Australia in-line with its regional expansion plans and PHD is likely launch there end 2008. Another media agency to handle conflicts with OMD would be established too.
"We're waiting for approval and will soon reveal more once we get confirmation from the head office," Cupples said.
Paul Davey, OMG chief executive for Australia and New Zealand, has now left the company.
