Korea - Levi Strauss & Co has re-hired BBDO Korea after a pitch battle against Lee and DDB earlier this month. The incumbent agency TBWA Korea has held the business for the past eighteen months.
BBDO Korea will manage the business from 1 June 2008.
Chung-Seung Hyun, CEO of BBDO Korea, said, "We are thrilled to have won Levi's back. Levi's is a brand that allows us to demonstrate great ideas and creative superiority. The campaigns we've done previously are still named as some of the great campaigns in Asia Pacific. This win means we get back the opportunity to showcase our creative excellence again".
So Hee Kim, brand leader of Levi Strauss & Co, said, "We were impressed at the outset with BBDO Korea's creative and activation ideas. They demonstrated a comprehensive understanding about fashion and our consumers, which ultimately led us to this decision".
