Singapore - Mediaedge:cia (MEC) has promoted MD of Global Solutions Connie Chan to replace outgoing MD for MEC Singapore Lim Yew Nee while GM Sharon Soh will take on a new role as strategy director.

The restructuring of MEC Singapore will allow greater integration between disciplines. Chan will head the Singapore office, comprising local, international and integrated interaction services. Soh will closely with Chan to raise its communication planning standards.

Singapore-based Joost Dop, CEO MEC Asia Pacific, will take personal responsibility for the progress of this new management team.

"When MEC was smaller, it was easy for APAC management to maintain an overview of the total operation in Singapore. Given our considerable growth in recent years, we see a need for greater official integration if we are to ensure that clients benefit from the cross-fertilisation of ideas, research and resources. Chan and Soh have each been with MEC for over 10 years, we believe that they are more than a safe pair of hands and that they will ensure that MEC Singapore continues to be one of our most creative and successful offices in Asia," Dop said.

Internally, group account director (GAD) Michelle Wong has also been promoted to take over as GM and will be responsible for day-to-day operations as well as Singapore-based clients and teams. She will be supported by GADs Jennifer Loke and Constance Lim.

Guillaume Conteville has joined MEC Global Solutions as regional director from MEC London while Wan Gyn and Joan Han have been promoted to GAD.
