Global - PepsiCo International promotes Dave Burwick, president of Pepsi-Quaker Tropicana Gatorade Canada, to head its international sales and marketing efforts.
Starting from an entry-level position, he has since held various seats in the beverage company, including CMO for North America, and has managed almost every brand that PepsiCo owns.
Based in New York, Burwick will report to PepsiCo International CEO Mike White and is tasked to head its international marketing and sales, as well as the research and development teams for food and beverages.
"Burwick will have responsibility for marketing, sales and R&D at our headquarters. So while he will not have direct reports in our field organisation, he will certainly have impact on our marketing and sales efforts around the world. As he is new in the role it obviously is too soon to say what that impact will be on a market-by-market basis," Dick Detweiler, PepsiCo's spokesperson, told Marketing, with regards to how the appointment will impact operations and marketing in Asia.
