Singapore - National Geographic Channel and Samsung have partnered to launched a cross-platform campaign in Asia to promote high definition TV and Samsung's range of Series 6 products.
Six vignettes together with five documentary pieces -
Living with Big Cats,
Dangerous Encounters,
Guardians of Nature,
China Circus and
Megastructures China - have been produced and will air on National Geographic Channel and its Channel HD.
It follows last year's ‘Redefining the Beauty of the World' campaign, which won Best Integrated Campaign in the Pay TV category at the Cable & Satellite Broadcasting Association of Asia TV Advertising Awards 2007.
David Henry, director of regional marketing at Samsung Asia said the alliance has enabled consumers to experience HD and understand its benefits and it will continue to directly engage its consumers through multiple, integrated platforms.
In May, a safari-themed roadshow will be held in locally and Malaysia with award-winning filmmakers, Dereck and Beverly Joubert gracing the event while Brady Barr, crocodile expert, will be touring Australia in June. A microsite has also been developed to invite viewers to an online contest.
