Hong Kong - The Council of Public Relations Firms has appointed David Croasdale, managing director of Newell PR, as chairman of its board of directors.
David Ketchum, who has served as chairman for two consecutive terms, steps down to the deputy chairman role.
Croasdale, who has been voted to the role for one year, said Hong Kong's PR industry is booming, which he added was a reflection of the strong Hong Kong economy.
But he expressed his and other members concerns over copyright regulation issues in Hong Kong, commenting that all PR firms need to stand together to enforce local laws and legislation, and that more lobbying activities need to be done.
