Hong Kong - McDonald's has kicked off a mass sampling campaign aimed at introducing its own blend of coffee, aptly titled McCafe, by giving out a million cups to local consumers.
The fast food restaurant has tapped on CommonSpace in Causeway Bay, with an event that invited its mascot Mr Mac Tonight as well as celebrity models such as Lisa S and Ana R.
Two mobile trucks will also circle around Hong Kong to give out McCafe ground coffee. Bus shelters at Causeway Bay and Tsim Sha Tsui will also be transformed into vending machines for customers to redeem the coffee at the outlets.
Apart from outdoor, McDonald's has launched a TV spot on free-to-air, print in magazines and newspapers and bus body.
In the virtual space, online sales company, Tetris Media has helped McDonald's launched an in-game advertising campaign across games sites like sooff.com.
