Malaysia - Asia Media Monitors opened its SEA headquarters in Kuala Lumpur and the operations will act as a digital news hub for all media sources the company monitors in the region.

John Croll, CEO, Media Monitors, said, "The advantages afforded by the Multimedia Development Corporation ensured Malaysia was already on our shortlist. The availability of a well-educated, multilingual workforce who possess excellent IT and business skills was a primary factor."

Neil Duncan, CEO of Asia operations and the group's CFO, said, "The news cycle is no longer dictated by the publishing of the key morning paper or the evening TV news broadcast. Stories are being posted minutes after breaking and are being constantly updated and instantly transported via RSS feeds and search engines to audiences around the world. We want to ensure our clients are abreast of these trends and receive the most relevant information throughout the region."

Media Monitors uses methodologies from Carma International and TNS to analyse media content for the impact of its clients' messages, the share of voice they are receiving against competitors, and the visibility and engagement of sponsorship programmes through the media.

The company is actively hiring and plans to expand to 100 people.
