Singapore agencies set to grab D&AD honour
Singapore - Singapore strikes three nominations and 23 In-Book entries for this year's D&AD Awards, with Work taking two Pencil nominations, DDB Worldwide taking one, and Y&R swiping the most In-Book entries with seven.
DDB Worldwide was nominated for its work, ‘Afghanistan Carpet' for World Vision International in the ‘Direct Mail Very Low Volume 1-504' category. While Work was awarded nominations for ‘Werk No. 15: Under the Influential' and ‘Guerillazine No. 5: Extracts of a Corporate Nightmare' for Guerilla stores.
Aside from Y&R, Work, BBDO and TBWA also received three In-Book entries each.
In Asia, Japan scored the highest number of Pencil nominations with six entries, but trails behind Singapore for number of In-Book entries and tying with India with 10 entries.
This year, 691 entries from 35 countries have been recognised for the D&AD Awards as representing the best creative work in advertising and design. Of those, 143 have been nominated for a Yellow Pencil, which is awarded to work that sets new benchmarks in creative excellence.
