Grey nabs HKTB business
Hong Kong - Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) has appointed Grey Group to its creative account covering 18 markets worldwide, following a pitch against three 4As agencies.
Danny Mok, general manager for Grey Hong Kong, said communication for HKTB will represent the unique faces of Hong Kong and will promote the territory as a destination for overseas travellers.
The agency has been appointed to the business for three years.
He added campaigns for the board will roll out in coming months.
Grey attributed its win to the agency's creative capabilities as well as possessing an integrated network strength.
The final pitch was a shootout between DDB, Saatchi & Saatchi, Publicis and Grey, with Ogilvy & Mather and Euro RSCG withdrawing in the final stages.
DraftFCB was the incumbent agency for the past nine years before severing relations with the tourism group late last year.
MindShare will handle the media planning and buying services for HKTB.
