AXN moves beyond boundaries

Hong Kong - AXN, a Sony Picture Entertainment (SPE) channel, and Now TV of PCCW have launched of a new channel, AXN Beyond, which will cover popular genres such as sci-fi, suspense, horror, mystery/fantasy, the paranormal and the supernatural.

AXN Beyond imports the newest TV programming from the US and will attempt to migrate its viewers from AXN by serving entertainment content different from AXN.

The latest season of Golden Globe and Emmy Award-winning Lost as well as Supernatural are set to premier on AXN Beyond this evening in Hong Kong.

Ricky Ow, general manager of SPE networks, said the popularity of these shows on AXN has motivated the group to launch a brand new channel.

Celestial Movies Asia (CMA) and Celestial Classic Movies (CCM) were also launched on Now TV recently.
