Singapore - CR Media, publishers of
PC Magazine Singapore, is set to enter into the competitive lifestyle technology magazine market with the launch of
Gadget3: Lifestyle Technology Magazine, in June this year.
The company's managing editor for PC Magazine Singapore and Gadget3, Wilfred Lim, would not be drawn into commenting on whether the new monthly publication would get its circulation audited - rivals titles in this space such as Stuff and T3 are currently not audited, according to the Audit Bureau of Circulations Singapore website.
Gadget3 will have an initial print-run of 25,000 copies and will be available online as well, and Simon Phun is the editor for both editions.
Lim also refused comment on how Gadget3 intends to compete with competing titles only saying that the CR Media advantage is having many years of experience in both lifestyle and tech publications. He says the title will be an easy-read but comprehensive enough for the discerning reader.
"Gadget3 talks about lifestyle technology. It's joie de vivre with the many things around us for the betterment of life. These include gadgets, automobiles, timepieces, adventure gear, toys and even coffee makers. It is 100% home-brewed and we strive to make things relevant to our readers," Lim said.
