Regional - Red Spider, a UK-headquartered strategy consultancy, has expanded in APAC by launching two offices in Singapore and Hong Kong on 1 April.
Asger Daugbjerg and Sandy Burns head the operations as owner and MD in Singapore and Hong Kong respectively. In the ad industry for 20 years, Daugbjerg was previously MD of Leo Burnett in Copenhagen before he left to set up the new office. He was also stationed in Singapore at JWT as its regional director heading the Unilever APAC account. He also served in JWT Europe's as GM and client service director.
In Singapore, the practice will focus on two core services such as brand strategy and communication planning and training seminars for ad agencies on topics such as planning and presentation skills.
"Several of the Red Spider clients are global players, we want to expand the Red Spider network to be present where our clients are to better service them, and to offer a local and regional perspective. Potentially, at a later stage we would be opening more offices in Asia. Often, brand strategy easily becomes extremely complicated, and this is what we want to challenge. We believe that our case stories and client relationships prove our point," Daugbjerg said.
Global clients include BBC, Unilever and Diageo.
