Malaysia - Hong Kong-based Strategic Public Relations Group has opened an office in Malaysia, appointing Stefanie Braukmann as its first general manager.

The Malaysia operation has also secured its first client, Allied Digital Infonet, a provider of innovative last mile wireless broadband solutions in Malaysia.

Its mandate is to help the client build a global brand and market its products in Malaysia and the Philippines.

Prior joining SPRG, Braukmann was the deputy MD at Perception Management. Before that, she was with Ogilvy Public Relations Singapore and Ogilvy Public Relations Kuala Lumpur. The accounts she has handled include Rolls-Royce, Ford, Nokia, Miele, American Express, Prudential, Unilever and Sun Microsystems.

Leveraging on SPRG's regional presence in financial PR and investor relations, the Malaysian office will provide corporate and financial communications services, consumer and premium brand marketing, strategic counsel on brand-building, and CSR programmes.
