Singapore - McDonald's Singapore has handed its PR business to GolinHarris following a pitch which incumbent agency, of almost 20 years, Citigate Dewe Rogerson, i.MAGE did not take part in.
"McDonald's and GolinHarris have a long-standing heritage in the United States for more than 50 years, and this legacy will now be extended to continue in Singapore. In the spirit of our founder Ray Kroc's belief, we have to continue to refresh, innovate and break new ground as a trusted brand in Singapore, and give back to the community where we serve," Shirley Foenander, VP, marketing and communications for McDonald's Singapore, said.
The news comes shortly after Christina Cheang, regional MD for GolinHarris SEA, made the switch from Hill & Knowlton to GolinHarris in February, as reported by Marketing. She described the win as a tremendous one for the agency and said GolinHarris was honoured to work on the brand to deliver long-term meaningful results.
