Singapore - Ogilvy PR Worldwide has moved its Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) head Danny Phan to Singapore as government practices director, and replaced him with former Vocanic marketing and business development director Nilesh Pritam.
In his new role, Phan will work with Singapore government ministries and statuary boards on public branding and awareness campaigns.
Ogilvy PR Worldwide, president and CEO for Asia Pacific, Christopher Graves, said Phan had proven to be a fine operator who gave wise counsel on complex issues such as avian flu and sustainability and he was glad to have him now as a regional resource in what would soon become a new practice for the region.
Commenting on the Nilesh hire, Graves said he was joining at an historic time in Vietnam's development.
"It is Asia's youngest country demographically but one with a very high literacy rate - an electric combination of youth and education. Growth in everything from consumer goods, to tourism, to stock market IPOs and online social media are exploding simultaneously. Nilesh has the right experience and high energy to tackle all of those," he said.
