Singapore - Robert Walters has released its Global Salary survey which revealed that bottom-line driven retail brand managers with creative flair are in demand.

The biggest challenge for the retail and leisure sectors is recruiting for operations and customer-facing roles, especially for jobs requiring qualified and passionate junior staff.

Regional presence and expansion of many global retail brands have led to the demand too for candidates in retail operations, marketing, distributor and partner management at senior levels.

For FMCG and healthcare, roles in sales and marketing that are highly sought after include, brand management, customer development key account management, product management and trade marketing. There is also clear interest in specialist list roles in consumer insight and sales effectiveness.

The media sector is seeing growth in the online domain as brands increasingly head digital. New publications launched locally are also leading to the increase in demand for advertising and sales professionals.

The survey is in its ninth year and is based on staff placements made by Robert Walters.
