McDonald's sends kids to the Olympics

Philippines - As part of a global campaign to send 300 kids to the Beijing Olympics 2008, McDonald's has reappointed Crush to promote its ‘ McDonald's Champion Kids' Programme'.

"We are excited about using Soccer Mania to promote our very own, Champion Kids programme, a very important promo of ours that will send five Filipino kids to experience the Beijing Olympics first hand," Barbie Ocampo, product manager of McDonald's, said.

The selected children will get to travel to the 2008 Beijing Olympics to meet athletes, see the games, visit cultural sights, interact with kids from around the world and will also reside in the Olympic Village together with other athletes in Beijing.

Six-time Olympic gold medallist Michael Phelps is the global ambassador for the programme.
