Singapore and Portugal have concluded an Open Skies Agreement, a deal which will allow full flexibility on air services operated by carriers of both countries.
Under the agreement, Singapore carriers will be able to operate flights as frequently as desired between Singapore and points in Portugal, as well as beyond Portugal to any other city in the world.
Similarly, Portuguese carriers will be able to operate any number of services to and beyond Singapore.
CAAS director-general and CEO Lim Kim Choon said the agreement cemented the countries' bilateral ties, and is "confident that it will allow our carriers the full flexibility to capitalise on future market opportunities".
The CAAS has signed OSAs with over 25 countries so far, including 14 in the European Union.
