Tech focus strengthens member base
Hong Kong - Cable & Satellite Broadcasting Association strong focus on digital technology for the pay-TV sector has seen its membership base strengthen.
CASBAA, pay-TV industry advocacy group, announced that eight members have joined the association for the first quarter of 2008, taking its membership to 128 Asia-based corporations.
The company is working with governments and 125 member organisations. Its goal is to create a powerful voice that represents the future of digital media.
"While traditional cable and satellite technology underpins our business models (including advertising), developments, such as Wimax, mobile TV, high-speed video broadband and return-path digital technologies are central to market growth," Simon Twiston Davies, CEO of CASBAA, said.
