Singapore - Publicis has hired Raymond Quah from Bates to join its Modem team as creative director.
He will be working with Joe Lin, ECD of Publicis Modem Singapore, on accounts such as HP, LG and Cisco.
"This is a conscious effort to bring the best of both worlds together. While Joe is an expert in the online and digital realms, Raymond is a veteran of ATL advertising and brand building. Together, they will make a good team that will strengthen our offering in the areas of strategic digital and integrated solutions," Publicis Modem Asia MD Arlene Ang said.
Quah has been with Bates for the past three and half years and has worked with clients such as Nokia and Heineken. During his tenure, he conceptualised campaigns like the National Council Against Drug Abuse (NCADA) 2007/2008 anti-drugs campaign and the Heineken global TTL campaign for the Rugby World Cup.
His career in the advertising industry spans fifteen years where he worked in agencies such as Y&R, M&C Saatchi, FCB and Leo Burnett on accounts such as Sony, Epson, Singtel, BMW, Adidas, Samsung and SK-II.
Will Anstee, GM of Publicis Modem Singapore, said, "Publicis Modem is undergoing aggressive expansion plans. Raymond Quah is the 6th new recruit this year, a sign that Publicis Modem is investing in high calibre creative, account servicing and digital talents."
He is expected to start work at Publicis within the next two weeks but the exact date is subject to when he departs from Bates.
