Singapore – SIA has retained its rank as the second most admired company in the aviation industry across the world.
Apple took the spot for the most admired company globally, followed by General Electric and Toyota.
The survey of “The World’s Most Admired Companies” was conducted by Fortune magazine and Hay Group. The study was based on peer ranking on criteria such as innovation, people management and quality of management.
A supplemental study by Hay Group found that companies that are on such lists actually pay five percent less than peers for talent, because of the nature that they take to groom talent and promote internally.
Hay Group’s director Roland Ruiz said: “In addition, these companies do a better job of rewarding top performers – delivering the best pay increases to those who are truly deserving and holding the line on pay for marginal performers.”
