Hong Kong - Ogilvy & Mather Hong Kong has taken out a gold Effie Award for its "Burning One Calorie is Unbelievably Easy" campaign for Coca Cola China.
Ogilvy & Mather was the only Hong Kong agency to pick up an award, which this year saw 150 campaigns entered from 18 countries around the Asia Pacific region.
The most successful agency networks were Ogilvy & Mather and Saatchi & Saatchi, which each won one Gold, one Silver and one Bronze Effie.
A total of 24 campaigns were listed as finalists and nine were from countries which do not yet have their own domestic Effie Award programs.
"The breadth of participation in this year's competition says that the Effie Awards are understood and respected, not only as proof of the skill and talent of the agencies and clients who win them, but also as evidence of the growing professionalism of marketing communications in Asia," Judd Labarthe, chairman of the Asia Pacific Effie Awards, said.
