Singapore - Former ZenithOptimedia Singapore CEO Kenneth Tsang has filled the long vacant MD role at Initiative Singapore following Julie Tilley's departure a year ago.

Tsang, who was Zenith CEO for nine years, told Marketing that after his short stint in China he felt good about joining Initiative.

"No complications, a meaningful base to grow an agency," he said.

Before joining Initiative he was at OMD in Shanghai for eight months, working there on project basis. Tsang left shortly after his contract had ended and said he had come to a mutual agreement with OMD not to continue on at the agency.

He has been in Singapore since October 2007 and in his new role he reports to Initiative's regional president, King Lai. Harpreet Singh Kaintel had since stepped into the CEO role at ZenithOptimedia when Tsang left in September 2006.
