UPS has announced a scholarship grant of US$82,000 to The Logistics Institute - Asia Pacific (TLI-AP) at the National University of Singapore (NUS) for four students, who will join UPS after completing their course.

The sponsorship grant will be funded by The UPS Foundation, a charity arm focused on improving the quality of life in communities where UPS employees live and work. It will fund the Dual Master of Science in Logistics and Supply Chain Management programme administered through TLI-AP, a partnership between NUS and the Georgia Institute of Technology, with additional funding from the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB).

"This is our fourth scholarship donation to The Logistics Institute - Asia Pacific since 2001," says Ken Torok, President of UPS Asia Pacific. "We have seen four students graduated from the Dual Masters Programme and work for UPS since then."

Students benefiting from the sponsorship will be bonded to UPS for three years.

Graduates of the course will see students receive two separate Masters - a Master of Science in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from NUS, and a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
