Y&R hires digital head

Singapore - Young and Rubicam (Y&R) has hired Taru Jain as its head of digital, tasked with driving a digital culture within the agency and its clients as well as being the main contact for its digital strategic partners.
He will also be responsible for the promoting digital to its existing clients and prospects, while identifying new digital business opportunities, digital training for internal and client stakeholders as well as working closely with the agency's planning and creative teams.
"This is a key hire for us and a move that is in tandem with Y&R's global objective of extending our capabilities into the high-growth area of digital," Tanuj Philip, MD, Y&R, whom Jain reports to, said.
Jain was previously with LBi for five years as its client director working with clients such as Philip Morris, Emap, SABMiller, British Telecom, Kraft Foods and Allen & Overy. He started his career with Lowe Lintas in India and the UK, working primarily on Unilever.
