CNBC loses Cordeiro to BBC

Singapore - BBC Worldwide has appointed former CNBC Asia account director, Deborah Cordeiro, to the same position handling advertising sales in SE Asia.

Reporting to Jeslyn Eng, regional director, SE Asia, Cordeiro will be based in Singapore. She will oversee key accounts for BBC World and bbc.com - the media owner's digital presence outside UK. Secondary markets in the region such as Indonesia and Vietnam will also be under her remit.

Her previous job saw her handling media sales in print, television and online.
