Proximity achieves Aviva Ironman 70.3 triumph

Singapore - Aviva has handed responsibilities for the regional Aviva Ironman 70.3 sponsorship initiatives to Proximity Singapore.

"Essentially what we were looking for was an agency who not only showed a strong understanding of our audience but also how we can use that understanding to take Aviva Ironman 70.3 Singapore to the next level of success this year. Proximity impressed us on both counts," Melisa Teoh, head of brand for Aviva Asia Pacific, said.

MD for Proximity Singapore, Rod Strother, said it might have also been a bit fortuitous that there was a mini-triathlon happening the weekend prior to the pitch as the agency was down at the race to interview competitors on exactly what was driving them to go through it.

"Not only that but Simon Bond, our regional head, is a fierce competitor on the triathlon circuit and was racing on the day," he said.
