MasterCard-Wiley challenges students
Singapore - MasterCard Worldwide and publisher, John Wiley & Sons, Asia, have partnered to launch the inaugural MasterCard-Wiley Marketing Challenge 2008 - open to full-time tertiary students in Singapore. For the soft launch last November, an EDM was sent to potential contestants. For its official launch early this year in January, other than road shows at tertiary institutions, the campaign also included the use of below the line communications methods such as posters, flyers and EDMS to bring out the message to students.
The contest promises a cash and gift prize as well as an attachment programme with the MasterCard Worldwide APAC office based in Singapore.
The panel of judges comprises representatives from MasterCard Worldwide, John Wiley & Sons Asia and Weber Shandwick Worldwide. The judging criteria includes, but is not limited to, market analysis, innovation of proposed product/service, strategic approach, marketing and public relations tactics, and presentation skills in the final round.
