Singapore - Turner Entertainment Networks Asia has hired Sesame Workshop's former VP for business development APAC, Dulce Lim Chen, as VP for Cartoon Network Enterprises (CNE) APAC - a consumer products division of Cartoon Network.
On top of promotions and events in 14 countries across the region, Lim Chen will be tasked to drive Cartoon Network's various licensing businesses including merchandise, publishing, home video products, and interactive games. Her responsibilities also include implementation of integrated network initiatives, third party representation of brands and properties, and liaising with CNE's divisions across the world on global planning and execution of its plans in the Asia Pacific region.
A veteran in the licensing business, she has had experience in consumer products, publishing and brand development with multinational media and entertainment companies in the APAC. Lim Chen's expertise is in business development and market entry in mature and emerging markets.
At Sesame Workshop, she oversaw the planning and execution of the Sesame Street English strategy in the region. She was previously with Walt Disney for nine years, heading its APAC publishing business.
Not unfamiliar with Turner, she started her career in the publishing division's sales and marketing offices, and was there for ten years.
