Hong Kong - The Financial Times (FT) has made a series of senior promotions and appointments across its regional business.
Maralyn Ho, regional advertising manager, has been promoted to director of advertising for Greater China, assuming control of all advertising sales staff and revenues for the FT newspaper and its associated print products in Hong Kong, China and Taiwan.
Daniel Molloy, Tokyo-based regional advertising director for North Asia, has relocated to Hong Kong as deputy commercial director Asia Pacific. He will continue to manage his previous role but will now oversee revenues for FTChinese.com and products developed under the FTChinese.com umbrella.
Hiroko Hoshino will step up to fill Molloy's role in Japan and has been promoted as FT's corporate representative in Japan. She will head the FT office in Japan and oversee FT.com advertising sales and online business activities across Asia.
The FT has also appointed Claire Breen Melwani as director of luxury sales & partnerships to oversee business development activities for the luxury goods sector.
John McClure has been also been promoted from regional advertising director to Singapore country manager. He role continues to include advertising sales in South & SE Asia as well as content syndication revenue and administrative issues regarding the Financial Times business in Singapore.
