Earth9 goes online for Singapore 2010
This Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports initiative aims to reach out to the youths in Singapore to get them engaged and involved in the bid process. The agency worked closely with the target group that the site was aimed - a group of youths - to effectively capture and portray the fundamentals of the Youth Olympics.
To ensure integration and interactivity, much of the site's content were centered upon garnering visitors comments. To reach the global platform as well as a level suited and familiar to the target audience, social networking sites like Facebook and Friendster were also utilised.
Other site components include a forum, a photo gallery, links to athlete blogs, background info on the bid process and instructions to corporate pledging.
The site has two interfaces for day and night with different visual treatment of the Singapore skyline.
