Upstream hires, bolsters accounts team

Hong Kong - Upstream Asia has added two directors to its Hong Kong office and reorganised the account services teams into a more efficient structure.

Upstream has hired Helen Kwan to head up its corporate and consumer division and Jennifer Shay, moving from Ruder Finn Asia, to oversee Upstream's financial and technology accounts.

The new directors will be responsible for client servicing, strategic counselling, supervision and implementation. Both will report into Hester Chan, managing director for Upstream Asia Hong Kong.

Chan said the agency has reorganised its account servicing teams into a more efficient structure with the new senior appointments.

Kwan, previously vice director of global communications for Huawei Technologies, has a background in corporate, B2B and consumer PR.

Prior to Upstream, Shay was director for Ruder Finn Asia.
