Singapore - Wunderman has acquired interactive marketing agency Agenda, contributing to the former's expansion plans in Asia by 40%.
"Agenda embraces a communication model that we know well as it applies to every channel we practice: Listen; glean insights; and engage people with exciting, relevant communications that motivate them to participate and take action," Daniel Morel, chairman and CEO of Wunderman, said.
Agenda has offices in Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Taiwan and Kuala Lumpur, and with this acquisition it will gain access to Wunderman's global clients and resources. Wunderman would also reinforce its digital capabilities in the China market as it leverages on Agenda's specialisation with online strategy, web development and management, online advertising, online media and web analytics capabilities and resources.
It will keep its name and management while complementing existing Asian Wunderman teams. Started in 1996, it has launched over 600 websites globally including Pepsi, Prudential, Citibank, Carrefour, Johnson & Johnson and Microsoft.
Wunderman is a division of WPP's network and a member of Y&R Brands.
