HBO takes lion share of HBO Asia

Singapore - Home Box Office (HBO), the US-based premium cable television programming subsidiary of Time Warner, has taken a majority stake in its Asian joint-venture company, HBO Asia. 

Previously jointly held by HBO, NBC Universal, Paramount Films and Sony Pictures Entertainment, HBO Asia under the new equity structure is owned by HBO and Paramount.

HBO's ongoing output deals from studios like Columbia/TriStar, NBC Universal, Paramount/DreamWorks and Warner Bros will continue to exist.
