Shanghai - China's third largest dairy group Bright Dairy, has handed its RMB380 million (US$51 million) media buying business to Omnicom's PHD network.
The Bright Dairy contract kicked in from 1 January.
PHD China won the business in a tender involving Carat, MindShare and six-year incumbent ZenithOptimedia.
The news is a huge boost for the Omnicom group in China, with its OMD media agency adding the US$15 million Zhujiang Beer to its client list.
OMD beat out incumbent ZenithOptimedia, Starcom and MindShare. The creative component was awarded to Ogilvy & Mather.
