Derek Woodwork will replace Ken Torok as president of UPS Asia, effective April 1.
Torok resigns from his five-year tenure as president of UPS Asia during which he was responsible for all UPS package operations in over 40 countries and territories.
"Ken Torok has ably directed our Asia Pacific operations during a time of considerable change and extraordinary growth," said Dan Brutto, president, UPS International. "During his tenure, the company enhanced its basic network infrastructure serving the region; dramatically expanded its air links and services within Asia, and established the industry's first wholly owned operation in China and a new operating alliance in India."
Torok will be succeeded by Woodward, who moved to Singapore from North America to serve as senior vice president to Torok last year.
"In Derek, we have a respected manager and global business veteran who's spent his professional life preparing for this type of leadership role," Brutto continued. "He certainly is well qualified for this important position and we expect Asia to remain our fastest growing international region for years to come."
