Carat lands Peninsula Group

Hong Kong - Carat Hong Kong has picked up the US$3 million media buying and planning business for the Peninsula Hotel Group from incumbent MindShare.

The estimated media spend of US$3m will focus on markets worldwide where Peninsula properties are located, and where key customers reside, Carat said.

Carat said its ROI delivery in digital planning and buying was behind the win.

"The pitch expanded to all media, where Carat was able to demonstrate a better understanding of Peninsula's discerning upscale audience," Will Swayne, MD Carat Hong Kong said.

"Carat's experience and insights into the luxury upscale consumer, as well as providing the best digital capability to our clients won Peninsula over," he added.

Jean Forrest, general manager of marketing at The Peninsula Hotels, confirmed the said the company was "happy to appoint Carat for all media buying".
