Hong Kong - The Hong Kong Tourism Board has adopted a new strategy to promoting its annual WinterFest, with a two pronged approach of extending activities from Central to Tsim Sha Tsui and Causeway Bay and enhancing its overseas promotions.
Anthony Lau, executive director for HKTB said: " By promoting the diverse range of colourful activities in major tourist districts, we aim to enhance visitors' experiences and widen the focus of celebrations".
The support of travel-trade partners has also helped HKTB to leverage a larger proportion of its resources in ad promotions overseas primarily in Mainland China and other short-haul markets in Southeast Asia.
The WinterFest ad campaign that will run until the end of the year featured Canto-pop stars Twins that appeared in TV, radio, print and outdoor media in Hong Kong as well as overseas.
A dedicated website on details of the Hong Kong WinterFest was also created.
