Procurement magazine came into being on September 6 this year, in the form of the procurement-online web site and weekly newsletter. A print magazine followed two short months later and not long after that we ran our first highly successful peer briefing event.
So while much was achieved this year, so much more is in the pipeline for the coming one.
In 2008, based on what we have learnt so far, Procurement magazine will bring sharper, more focussed news stories and updates to your inboxes twice a week instead of just once. We've also beefed up our editorial calendars to follow the hot trends you have suggested to us and we will also add some of the columns you have said you would be interested in reading in the print edition.
Now that we've got the magazine off the ground and events up and running, next year will be spent homing in on current issues linked to the procurement and supply chain professions as part of the magazine's wider mission to evolve into the most relevant read in the market.
Procurement Weekly will be taking a break for the Christmas season and will resume service in January next year.
Meanwhile, here's wishing all our readers and commercial partners a very merry Christmas and a new year that's even more prosperous than the one just passed.
