Hong Kong - To entice young people and add cheer to the Christmas season, Nokia has rolled out giant Gashapon vending machines at high-traffic teen hangouts aimed at promoting its N81 handset as well as for brand building purpose.
Nokia has dominated the Commonspace area in Causeway Bay with three Gashapon vending machines which dispenses capsules containing mini Nokia key chain straps including the chance to win a real handset.
The Gashapon machines are also placed at the Nokia flagship store in Causeway Bay, UA Cinemas and KCR stations in Mongkok and Shatin.
The campaign is supported by print in magazines from female to youth titles such as East Touch and Milk, including outdoor TV at Times Square and Lan Kwai Fong as well as in cinemas.
Mediacom handled media buying and planning duties while BatesAsia developed creatives for this campaign.
