Singapore - DDB Singapore creative group head, Matthew Phillips, will leave the agency and region this week to take up a CD role at Bovil DDB Eindhoven.

Phillips, who currently works on the global Philips account as well as the regional Lipton business, said the move would be a step up the ladder and a fantastic opportunity. "I work on the Philips account and it would be great for me to go and work on it where it was born," he said.

DDB Singapore will now split his work between senior creative group heads, Joji Jacob and Vincent Lee.

Phillips came to Singapore in 1997 and joined Tequila Singapore before moving on to Saatchi & Saatchi Hong Kong. He made the return to Singapore to join DDB Singapore before starting up his own independent agency, Grip Creative Partnership. In May 2006, Phillips went back to DDB Singapore and this latest news means he will leave the region after nearly 12 years of work here.
